Alternative Medicine And You

Alternative Medicine And You

Welcome one and all, them big n’ tall or very small.  To health life and livin’ I discuss Alternative Medicine.  First get outside, see the sun and breathe fresh air.  Get next to trees and feel the breeze, catch the sunshine on your face.  Get the vibe of life in the presence of God’s grace.  Get your mind in the right place as I discuss feelin’ great.

God bless America and them rich in love and spirit!  What goes into your body can destroy or really heal it.  You can’t eat what kills you and live forever.  Give ear to hear and let me school ya,’ to chill you out and truly groove ya.  First the bad news about bad things to warn you then turn you on to what won’t harm you.

Most Americans are not aware some Americans just don’t care of the threat hanging over our heads.
It’s not terrorism, or the Arab’s oil but nasty food that never spoils. Every second an American gets a chronic illness, as we speak, 60 million suffer multiple diseases. Despite advances in modern medicine our health much is worse than ever.

There is no doubt that sickness affects us, causing suffering and hardship. I’m here to tell you about the situation and how to save our precious nation. Yes it’s bad but now we be learning about how holistic nutrition can be the solution.  In 2000, the U.S. population was 276 million.

Half the population lived with a chronic condition. 60 million lived with multiple chronic diseases.  Examples of them chronic conditions are glaucoma, cancer and diabetes. The number of folks with chronic conditions is growing all out of proportion.

First about herbs and leafy green things.  Many herbs are useful as alternative medicine. I give you a bit of good information to whet your appetite to change your livin’. You must explore, go your own way, finding  herbs do work as alternative medicine.

Aloe Vera  been used for 6,000 years even in early Egypt. Used to heal wounds and treat all kinds of skin conditions.  And if you get bung up it’s a laxative too.

Its also used to treat asthma, diabetes, epilepsy and osteoarthritis.  Prescription you don’t need man, so try this.

Bilberry  been used to treat many a conditions including diarrhea, scurvy and menstrual cramping.  Bilberry good for eye problems and varicose veins!  It has been used to treat diabetes. You can eat the fruit of the bilberry plant or make it into extracts, used it as teas. It has even been used to improve night vision too.

Black Cohosh  can treat rheumatoid arthritis, muscle pain, night sweats and vaginal dryness.  Good for hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms as well as to treat menstrual problems.
Black Cohosh good to treat premenstrual syndrome and also for pregnant women, to help induce labor.

Cat’s claw  is used to both prevent and treat disease including viral infections and HIV.  Good for herpes and other bad things like arthritis, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.  Cat’s claw is used to support the immune system and keep the kidneys healthy.

Chamomile  been used for thousands of years to treat sleeplessness, anxiety, upset stomach, diarrhea and gas.  It also can treat mouth ulcers that result from cancer treatment.

Cranberry  is both a food and a herb. The cranberry leaf and fruits been used to treat liver problems, to heal wounds, to treat urinary disorders, diarrhea, diabetes and the upsets stomach.

Dandelion  is a very common plant used to treat kidney disease, liver disease, spleen problems, digestive disorders and many skin issues.

Echinacea  grow all over the U.S. and Canada, 9 different kinds, with the most potent being Echinacea purpurea.  It used to treat and prevent the common cold, flu and other respiratory infections.  It can stimulate the immune system to fight off infections.   It can heal wounds, it can heal acne or heal other skin conditions such as boils.

Evening primrose oil  used to treat eczema, and rheumatoid arthritis.  It can also be used to treat menopausal symptoms such as breast pain.

Feverfew been used for a very long time to treat fevers, headaches, toothaches and stomachaches, insect bites and menstruation problems.  It also used to treat migraine headaches and rheumatoid arthritis pain.

Take to heart what I been preachin, dig my herbs and live my teaching.  You are what’s in your body, if in goes toxins, you will be toxic.  Flush the trash and eat the berries, get into herbs and live forever.

Get free from anger hate and rage, grass is green so give away the pain.

(Can you dig that RJ?)

RFID Chips: Salvation for the helpless or the Mark of the Beast?

RFID Chips: Salvation for the helpless
or the Mark of the Beast?

Informational / Non-Fiction / News

Samuel Johnson (17th Century English Writer) said, "Hell is paved with good intentions."  RFID Chips (Radio Frequency Identification Tags) are the insidiously hidden agenda of many forces in our nation right now.  Because of their ability to be used not only in clothing, credit cards, merchandise and even paper, they give the ‘tracker’ the ability to find out all sorts of information regarding how a person lives.  What is insidious is the plans to use them on people, even without a persons knowledge.

The arguments for implanting people with RFID chips are varied, some sensible, some noble but most are alleged pretexts for population control of one sort or another.  VerichipTM , an RFID microchip company which sells “Miniaturized, Implantable Identification Technology With Multiple Medical, Security and Emergency Applications” has a chip the length of a dime and about 1/5 the width ready for implant.

Back in 2004 the FDA approved the use of RFID for implant into human beings.  In an article by Jon Stokes for ARS Technia, Stokes related how the Bush Administration was pushing for use of the chip for ‘passports’ or ‘passport based identification’.

That was the beginning, there is a stipulation in the Obama Healthcare plan that also “calls for the creation of a Registry that would allow the Department Of Health and Human Services to collect data about medical devices “used in or on a patient” (pacemakers etc…devices that patient consents to) for purposes of tracking such devices and facilitating the distribution of manufacturer recall notices.”

Now this sounds practical but it begs many questions like, who has access to this registry other than the government and will the government use this information only for recalls?  Stokes also mentions in his article, “These chips are like smart cards, but they can be read from a distance.

A receiving device can "talk" to the chip remotely, without any need for physical contact, and get whatever information is on it. Passport officials envision being able to download the information on the chip simply by bringing it within a few centimeters of an electronic reader.

Unfortunately, RFID chips can be read by any reader, not just the ones at passport control. The upshot of this is that travelers carrying around RFID passports are broadcasting their identity.

Think about what that means for a minute. It means that passport holders are continuously broadcasting their name, nationality, age, address and whatever else is on the RFID chip. It means that anyone with a reader can learn that information, without the passport holder's knowledge or consent. It means that pickpockets, kidnappers and terrorists can easily--and surreptitiously--pick Americans or nationals of other participating countries out of a crowd.

It is a clear threat to both privacy and personal safety, and quite simply, that is why it is bad idea. Proponents of the system claim that the chips can be read only from within a distance of a few centimeters, so there is no potential for abuse.

This is a spectacularly naive claim. All wireless protocols can work at much longer ranges than specified. In tests, RFID chips have been read by receivers 20 meters away. Improvements in technology are inevitable.”

Science has already found deceptive and crafty ways to sneak RFID chips into your body.  io9.com reports a research group has developed an edible RFID chip so you can ‘track your caloric intake’.  Anyone with an RFID scanner can also track you while the chip is in your body. (http://io9.com/5810968/eat-a-bowl-of-chips-+-for-big-brother)  The breakthroughs with RFID technology continue.

The BBC reported in May of 2012 about a man who had an RFID chip planted in him that got a computer virus.  Actually it was a scientist at Redding University in England who gave his own implanted RFID chip a virus to study what the effects would be.  The scientist said “with new technologies come new risks.”

Why bring this RFID Chip, mark of the beast stuff up now?

This weekend we celebrate Memorial Day.  Men and Women who have sacrificed their lives for ‘freedom’ and ‘liberty’, the very things that the Bush Administration started on taking away and the Obama Administration is putting into real and practical operation.  The RFID chip is the next step into stealing our freedom, the very thing we live for and invalidating the Constitution of the United States, that which guarantees our liberty.

The religious right, from those kind of liberals like the Methodists, to those rabidly anti-government, like some Baptists and the Catholic Church, all site one piece of scripture, Revelation 13:16-18 that reads:
16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or[a] the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

Ok, let us assume you don’t believe in God, or you don’t believe in Santa Claus or the Easter bunny.  Given the new powers of the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government under both the Patriot Act and H.R. 347 (also known as the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011) you can be detained and classified as a ‘terrorist’.  You can be taken to a FEMA camp and imagine being ‘forced’ to have an RFID chip planted in you in a place you can’t scratch?

Don’t let your Congressperson tell you it can’t happen.

It’s happening now.
So consider your freedom and call your Congressperson and ask the simple question: is there any circumstance where the government can force the application of an RFID chip for any reason upon a citizen of the United States of America?  Just remember this bill was not the current President’s doing and both Republicans and Democrats had to get together and agree on this bastardization of American Civil Liberties.

But Obama did sign it into law.

The RFID chip could replace money, without your RFID chip you could have the government or the banks take what they want when they want it from you.  Your location could be tracked anywhere on this planet, your vital signs and medical information would be available to the government or its vendors.

And in the ultimate act of government control, even use the implanted RFID device to kill you without arrest, trial or conviction.  Summary execution on demand.

Hell is indeed paved with ‘good intentions’.  The RFID chip could be put in young children which would be a deterrent to kidnappers and child molesters.

It could be implanted into criminals and parolees so we know where they are and what they are doing.
It can be put into our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines so we would know where they are if they get captured.  These are the valid arguments that will be made to make your citizenship totally invalid.

This weekend, celebrate the freedom you have, the freedom that was bought with blood, the freedom that was bought with sweat along with the liberty to go where you want, when you want for any reason whatsoever.

Celebrate now and live to defend our way of live, or we will live the lyrics to a Zager and Evans song In the Year 2525
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lie
Everything you think, do and say, Is in the pill you took today.”

What Zager and Evans prophesized for 5,000 years from now could be happening in the next 5 years or starting in the next 5 minutes.

In the song “Cult of Personality” by Vernon Reid performed by ‘Living Colour’ the words go:

“Neon Lights, a Nobel Prize
Than the mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You won’t have to follow me
Only you can set you free”

Remember those who died for your freedom.  Live to be free, live to stay free.

What are your thoughts about this post?  Paranoid propaganda or a legitimate warning?  Total nonsense or is this too much truth for your mind to process?

Let me know

Donna Summer: The Queen of Disco Dies

Donna Summer: The Queen of Disco Dies

Informational/Tribute

We all know by now Donna Summer has died.  We all know the story of how another young girl raised in the Church singing gospel went off looking for a singing career.  We have heard the story of how this young woman from Boston went to do European Versions of the Broadway Musical “Hair”.   She married a guy named Helmet Sommer and changed her name to the Anglican version ‘Summer’.

As StarPulse.com put it, “1974, when she met producers/songwriters Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte while working on a Three Dog Night record. The three teamed up for the single "The Hostage," which became a hit around Western Europe, and Summer released her first album, Lady of the Night, in Europe only.

In 1975, the trio recorded "Love to Love You Baby," a disco-fied reimagining of Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin's lush, heavy-breathing opus "Je T'aime...Moi Non Plus." Powered by Summer's graphic moans, "Love to Love You Baby" became a massive hit in Europe, and drew the attention of Casablanca Records, which put the track out in America. It climbed to number two on the singles charts, and became a dance club sensation when Moroder remixed the track into a 17-minute, side-long epic on the LP of the same name.”

The rest is history, the rest of what Donna Summer did can be found on dozens of websites and the stats of her record sales and the music standards she set and the legend of the genre she nearly single handedly defined are all a matter of public record.

But it is the private record and the personal reality of what this music meant in our lives that I want to focus on.

For those of us in our 50’s, who were teenagers when Disco broke out like a plague, it changed our lives.  Donna Summer kicked down the door, and they all came in and had us dancing and partying all over the U.S., particularly in the New York/ Metropolitan area.  I remember “Speak Easy” in Island Park and the acts that played there, “The Three Degrees, Andrea True Connection, Gloria Gaynor, The Trammps, Vanilla Fudge” and many more.

I remember how I went on my first date to a Donna Summer tune playing on an FM station.  I remember how hot the sex was in the backseat of my Chevy.  I remember how disco music and disco musicians were on every radio station and TV network.  I remember ‘Midnight Special’ and the Disco acts that appeared on ‘Soul Train’.  I remember how some disco music just turned me off but Donna Summer’s music always seemed to turn me on.

I can almost smell the sea breeze remembering when I danced with my wife to ‘On The Radio’ playing from a boom box near the trailer we rented at Camp Pendleton, right on the water at San Onofre, just before I got shipped out to Okinawa.  I remember my wife’s bridesmaid jumping on the back of a motorcycle, running off with one of my Marines while my wife and I were dancing in the sand.

Every time I hear a Donna Summer tune playing I see some fun from my yesterdays.  That’s why it took so long to write this…it’s hard to see the screen between the tears.
I listened to two songs on May 17th,  the day Donna Summer died ( it was also my late wife’s birthday), ‘The Wind Cries Mary’ by Jimi Hendrix and ‘I Wish It Would Rain’ by the Temptations.

Like salt and sulfur in an open wound so is the music to my soul.  But the booze helps while I listen to the music of Donna Summer and the rest who are on the ‘other side’.  All too soon we will become yesterday.  But some of us will live long enough to forget.

And its raining.

Robin Gibb: Bee Gees Disco Great Dies

Robin Gibb: Bee Gees Disco Great Dies

News/Tribute

I remember seeing Tavares open for the Bee Gees at Madison Square Garden back in 1977.  I remember that year because that’s when I graduated from High School.  I will never forget the performances by the Bee Gees and Tavares.  That night Disco had announced it had arrived as a music genre.  It was that night the Bee Gees and Tavares previewed and performed songs off of the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack.

I never saw so much glam, fashion, color and flair in one night, and I’m talking about the crowd.  Satin shirts, velvet suits, bell bottoms with Peter Max designs and platform shoes not to include accessories like gold chains, costume jewelry, pimp hats and furs.  But the artists kept it simpler.  The performances were electric and full of excitement.

Disco which started out as a Black and Gay club subculture, kicked the door open to Madison Square Garden via Hollywood on the power and performance of the Bee Gees music and the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer.

You knew Disco crossed over watching Travolta’s performance in the movie Saturday Night Fever.  They put ‘Rocky’ in a white polyester suit and taught him to dance.  The rest is history.

Robin Gibb with his brothers produced 25 albums, Robin produced 8 albums not including his last one with his son RJ (Robert-John).  The last work Robin Gibb was working on was his first classical concert, "The Titanic Requiem," with his son Robin-John to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the disaster. (http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/robin-gibbs-death-latest-family-heartbreak/story?id=16394132#.T7v2X9xWrXo)

The Bee Gees have proven to be artists true to Rock and Pop Music in all its various forms.  The Bee Gees music has been covered by country artists like Kenny Rogers and the Gatlin Brothers to Rock and Roll Artists like Elvis Presley and Janis Joplin.   In 1978 the brothers Gibb illustrious recording career was at its best no less than 9 of the Billboards top 10 songs were written and/or performed by the Bee Gees.

Robin Gibb and his brothers wrote many number 1 hits for some of the greatest recording artists of our time, including but not limited to; Diana Ross's "Chain Reaction", Tina Turner's "I Will Be There", and Barbra Streisand's "Guilty" and "Woman in Love", as well as songs "Heartbreaker" and "All the Love in the World" by Dionne Warwick.

Robin Gibb and his brothers impact on all music has been profound.  Country music hits, "Islands in the Stream" by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, "Rest Your Love on Me" by Conway Twitty and "Buried Treasure" by Kenny Rogers (backing vocals The Gatlin  Brothers).  Donna Summer was indisputably the Queen of Disco.  Robin Gibb and his Brothers are no less than the Grand Dukes of Pop Music.

The only ‘words’ I can find to pay any form of tribute to Robin Gibb are the words of the Bee Gees:

Robin Gibb - December 22, 1949 to May 20, 2012
Talk in everlasting words
And dedicate them all to me
And I will give you all my life
I'm here if you should call to me
You think that I don't even mean
A single word I say
It's only words, and words are all
I have to take your heart away…

(from Words by the Bee Gees)

Sex Toys: A Woman’s Real Best Friend

Sex Toys: A Woman’s Real Best Friend

Informational/Non-Fiction

No, it’s not diamonds.  Diamonds are a girls best friend.  But women around the world are proving that sex toys are their real best friend.  Let’s go to the stats; Factsite.com reports the following:

• 44% of Women between the ages of 18 and 60 have used a sex toy.

• 15 – 17%  of women were under the age of 20 when they used their first vibrator.

• 50% of Women were in their 20’s (first vibrator.)

• 22-27% of Women were in their 30’s, and 8-10% were in their 40’s or older (first vibrator).

• Women who report masturbating score higher on a self-esteem index than women who do not report masturbating.  Women who report masturbating have a more positive body image and less sexual anxiety.

• Almost a quarter (23%) of adults around the world have incorporated sex toys in partner sex.

• 20% of men reported using a vibrator.

• Women who are in relationships are more likely to own and use sex toys.  78% of women who use or have used a sex toy reported being in a relationship.

• 3.35 million people search for the keyword ‘sex toys’ in Google each month.

Mississippi buys more anal sex toys per capita than any other state.

Alabama is the only state where a law prohibiting buying sex toys is on the books.

Alaska buys the most sex toys per capita.

• 20% of Adults reports indulging in kinky play, including masks, blindfolds or bondage.
So what does this really mean?  The stats beg several questions that most of us must confront but we would never answer in a survey let alone confess to a priest or a clergyman.   Questions like: do you do your woman with her toys?  Do you do yourself with your own toys?  Do you have as much sex with your partner as she does with her toys?

What does the answer to these questions really mean?

28,000 Year Old Dildo
Not just Americans, but people worldwide use sex toys.  Use of sex toys has been going on since the recorded history of man.  A bunch of Germans (figures) discovered the world’s oldest dildo in July of 2005.

It is, as the report goes, “20cm of polished siltstone lovingly created around 28,000 years ago.” “The stone schlong was discovered in Hohle Fels Cave near Ulm, Swabia, by a Tübingen University team.”

The problem with sex toys is attitudes, taboos and beliefs (or disbeliefs).  Some states have set up ‘sex police’ stings to stop the proliferation of sex toys (like stopping the sale of guns, grass or porn).  Joann Webb, a housewife and former elementary school teacher was arrested back in January 2011 for violating a Texas obscenity law that forbids “the sale of items "designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs." (http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=128066&page=1#.T7wDgdxWrXo)

Joann, who organizes passion parties thought she was doing a public service, she “saw this as a great opportunity to help educate women, help encourage them to open up the lines of communication between them and their partners and be able to enhance their relationships," explains Webb, who organizes the parties in and around Burleson, Texas, 15 miles south of Fort Worth.”
Marc Angenent was a minister for 23 years before finding his true calling: sex toy merchant.  Marc also sees himself as a ‘sex therapist’ (nothing like finding religion via the vagina).  “Products offered include dildos, vibrators, erection rings, and prostate simulators, according to the New Age.
Angenent sees the site, which contains no nudity, pornographic images, or offensive language, as a safe space for Christians to make these purchases. He doesn't offer whips or other fetish items, Der Spiegel reports, but not because he finds anything wrong with them: He just doesn't want to shock the Christian community.” (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/23/christian-sex-toy-shop-op_n_1445802.html)
So, what is your reality?  Is there a sex toy in your past, present, future or nightstand drawer?
So we deal with what is taboo, the subject of sex toys and their use by women.  But what is even more taboo is the subject of their use by men.  It would be kind of twisted to think of a guy buying a dildo or a pocket vagina to use on himself, but given the great pussy drought of the Obama years we must make ‘change’.  Hard times call for tough measures or reliable toys.  If buying a sex toy is sick or twisted to you, think of the guys buying life size fully functional sex robots on sale now!
Whatever the excuse, lack of funds, lack of interest in the opposite sex, lack of interest in the same sex or you just want something or some device (robot) to get off with, sex toys are filling the void.  (Yeah, pun intended)
So whatever your fetish, freakishness or sexual identification, a sex toy can be your new, or old, best friend.  And they won’t get jealous if you have more than one.
Do you have one?

Memorial Day and the Disenfranchised Veteran

Memorial Day and the Disenfranchised Veteran

Informational

Too many sorry assed politicians have given much lip service as to what they are doing for Veterans when the evident reality is that not only has the government forsaken and marginalized Veterans, but let corporations, institutions and service organizations (non-military) reduce to insignificance a Veterans worth and economically hobbled Veterans by ‘labels’ intended to yoke them to poverty.

I’m not going to weigh down this blog with stats and figures, because in the short run they mean little to anyone who hasn’t served and I’m preaching to the choir so to speak, when this is read by those who have served.  What you should know is that employers are using PTSD, Depression, and any other excuse not to hire Veterans.  This applies not only to Gulf War Veterans but any Veteran after the Korean War.

You want stories of Veterans suffering from this new and insidious form of state sanctioned discrimination go to http://www.stressproject.org/EFTStory1.html. The point I want to make to you is this: Support, Help and Advocate for Veterans.  Yes, there are all kinds of Veterans Organizations but Congress has closed their ears and their hearts to the Veterans who petition them in Washington DC.

But if you call, your woeful and pitifully intransigent Congressperson will listen to you.  Call your Congressperson, write letters and sign your name, do something other than sit on your ass saying ‘somebody should do something’ if you are not somebody then who the fuck are you?  I’ve written, petitioned and called my Congresswoman and my anger is only growing day by day.  I and all Veterans need you!

I have posted some events and suggestions of what you can do for the rest of the month of May.   Spare me the slogans and the flag waving, if you know a Veteran in distress talk to him or her.

If you know a Veteran who is not in distress but in a service organization (American Legion, VFW, DAV, etc,) talk to them about what you can do for Veterans who are going back to Afghanistan because they can’t find work in America.

Go Online and find events for Veterans and Memorial Day in your Area.  Start with Veterans Service Organizations and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Please do something!

RJ.

Homophobia and A Good Massage

Homophobia and A Good Massage

Three days before President Obama announced his affirmation for gay persons right to ‘marry’, I witnessed a conversation regarding gay persons, gay behavior, homophobia and social mores.

Although I didn’t agree with all points of view, I did find that different people, even within the same race, upbringing, social status and shared experience, view things differently.

I was at Bronkos and ‘G’ was working on a Sunday, she had a good crowd of regulars, rogues, roughnecks and wrongdoers.  As the crowd thinned out around 5 O’Clock (dinner time)  Ol’ Ricky came in and pulled himself up to the bar, not to talk to me but with my running buddy Candy.  (If I go anywhere with Candy who is pretty, hot, vivacious…almost no one talks to me).

‘G’ never misses a beat, she knows what her regulars want to drink and its always being poured before one can ask.  Ricky talked about his arthritis and bad back, a subject I know something about.  As the conversation went on Fox News broadcast something regarding gay’s, what exactly I forget but the conversation between Candy and Ricky now was on remedies for arthritic maladies and qualified medical persons.

“Ricky what you need is not necessarily a Chiropractor, but a masseuse who specializes in sports related therapy” said Candy as she nursed her snifter of Old No. 7.  Ricky, sipping slowly on his tonic and gin said, “Finding a good masseuse is very difficult because so many people have differing opinions on what a good massage is and how to effect what their patient wants and needs.”

Candy said, “There are a lot of guys who must be real good, I know with all the sports activity in the New York/Metropolitan Area there has to be at least one good masseuse in this area.”

Ricky’s eyes got glazed over and he said, “and there is the rub, so to speak…I don’t want a guy massaging me, I need a female masseuse.”  Candy looked him in the eye and said “Why?”

Ricky said, “because I want a woman masseuse who is an expert at what she does, I only want a woman putting her hands on me, that’s what I want and that’s what I’m gonna get!”  Candy snapped, “why not a man, you’re a man, if you were a masseuse wouldn’t you massage a man?”  Ricky fired back, “I’m not a masseuse and if I were my clientele would be women exclusively.”  Candy said in a whisper, why?

“Because no damn faggot is putting his hands on me” said Ricky.  “What makes a male masseuse a faggot?  Why is he a faggot?  If he were gay what would that have to do with you getting a good massage for your back” said Candy.  Rick said “I saw a man giving a massage to a soccer player when I was visiting my son oversees and he was making all kinds of sex noises, licking his lips, breathing heavy and acting like a queer.”

Candy said “and that’s the reason you don’t want a male masseuse?”  “No, not the only reason, a female masseuse may better be able to attend to ‘specific types’ of massage that I would not be comfortable receiving from a man” said Ricky as he reached for his drink.  “You mean ‘a happy ending’ don’t you?” said ‘G’, who like the other three people in the bar was listening in.

Ricky said “Well yeah, among other things…”  Candy snapped, “Oh, so it’s not your back, it’s your dick, you don’t want a masseuse you want a hooker…say what you mean, mean what you say, your not concerned with you medical condition, your concerned with getting off…don’t stutter, what,… are you going to tell me your dick is connected to your back.”  Ricky said, “A masseuse doesn’t have to be a hooker…”

Candy went off, “a hooker damn sure aint gonna be a professional masseuse, just a paid whore.”  “Candy, I just know what my preferences are, I don’t care about anybody else, just me and my body” said Ricky.  “So you wouldn’t let a gay man touch you but you would let a gay woman masseuse massage you, is that what your saying” said Candy.

Ricky answered, “Any woman masseuse who can rub me the right way, my way, I will let touch me, that’s all.”  “Just because someone is gay doesn’t mean that they are ‘weird’, perverted or unqualified to be any kind of professional, there are gay’s all around you providing services every day, in the military, in the schools, in the hospitals, and even in your civic organizations…got that” said Candy as she stared down poor Ol’Ricky.

‘G’ had to leave, it was now the end of her shift.  The 10 souls now in the bar had laughed hysterically at the conversation that was a little more involved than written.  But many got the point on both sides of the discussion.   Most saw Candy’s point of view but totally identified with Ricky.  But no matter where you stand on any personal issue with gay persons, lesbians or others, no human being should be denied insurance, medical benefits or housing because of sexual preference.

How gay rights is happening in America is becoming very clear.  I don’t know if there will be marches on Washington or the State Capital in Raleigh, North Carolina, but I do know attitudes will not change overnight.  Southern legislators are still fighting the last civil war against their half white president.

The problem in America is the very appearance of what might be a gay attitude or gay actions.  I can best illustrate and sum this up with a story by Redd Foxx.

The story goes: Two men were out on a desert trail, several miles outside of the nearest town when one of them got bit by a rattlesnake.

The bite was in the groin right on his manhood.  His buddy sat him down and ran to town for help.

“Doctor my friend was bit by a rattlesnake, can you help?”  The Doctor gave him a knife and a tourniquet and said make an incision, suck out the poison and tie off the area.

The man ran back the several miles and got to his friend.  His friend asked “what did the Doctor say?”  His buddy said, “Doctor said your gonna die.”
