Trojan:W32/Reveton: "Ransomware"

This is no joke. There is a new virus classified as "Ransomware" by F-Secure. This virus masquerades as an FBI warning that your computer has been used to distribute 'child pornography' and freezes your P.C.
Then a warning with the FBI logo comes up and tells you where to send money to 'unlock your computer'. You get this virus through e-mail labeled as 'FBI' warnings or compromised web sites.
This warning is currently being broadcast by CNN, the BBC and published in the Huffington Post. Do not open any e-mail from the FBI or with an FBI reference. Delete it immediately.
If you get this virus contact an Information Technology Professional.

THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP RJ! Alot of spam mail with FBI as the header has been going around. Please people! use your heads. If the FBI wants you. it wont be through e-mail be at your front or back door!

Most likely they (the FBI) will call you while they sit at your front and back door hoping you try to run like a jack rabbit. A good excuse to prone you out on the hot steamy ground or give you a Rodney King style beat down.
